Holiday Express Goshen-Montana back at the Factory

More or less anyway. Kind of like the fabled Lunch Box Cadillac our Montana was a bit unique so it had to go back to the factory to get several problems resolved. This is projected as a two day process so the good folks at Keystone\Montana have put us up at the nearby Holiday Express Motel tonight (Thursday PM) That lets me finally get back onto the net and this forum briefly.

During the rally I did emails from the Nappanee City Library but access to this forum way always denied for some reason. So I have some catching up to do.

It was a great rally for us even though it was our first RV rally experience. We hope to be there next year [MOC 2005) if we can get our new home completed in time.

In the meantime, assuming our Montana is mobile late tomorrow, we mean to meander across Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota temporarily "Full Timers" enjoying the country headed for our home parking spot. Our new profile and address block will show that as Aberdeen, SD.

Hi Jim,
I too was over at the Montana service center and saw your rig sitting outside minus ALL windows. I did remind the service techs to be sure they installed the windows right side up this time.
Believe it or not but I identified your rig by the 2 studs on the pinbox where you mount your flags. That and the rear hitch, not to mention the MOC bumper sticker.

We were there to finally get a NEW shower surround installed. Montana initially farmed us out to some fly by night rv repair facility. We had made our appointment for the 29th back on the 20th and they called and changed it to the 30th. The reasoning was that the surround hadn't come in in time and it still was not there when we arrived. After a rather heated discussion, the repair tech admitted to not ordering the replacement until the 28th. The day before the appointment.
I finally drove over to the service center and spoke to John Armstrong, who remembered me from the Tampa show last January. At that time we discussed the shower door problem.
Anyway, to make a long story short...John put a Montana service tech named Larry Evans on the job and less than 2 hours later we drove away with our new shower surround.

Thank you John and Larry.

Glenn,

That was our home away from home alright.
Seems kind of strange to be in a motel room tonight. But it is nice to be on the form again.

Glad to hear you got fixed up and are back on the road.

Take care and travel safe.

Hey guys, stop by and see us, we are here too, at the service center, and in fact were in the Holiday Express last night because we could not stay in the unit. Poor girl at the front desk did not know what to do with us when we told her Keystone allowed us to bring dogs to her hotel, even tho her hotel did not.

Random Line, saw your unit with the windows out as well. Our unit is on the other side of the building.

Hello Jim and Fredrica,
Also give Lobo a pat on the head for us. I'm happy to hear that they are fixing your window problem. Make sure the little drain things are at the bottom! LOL...

We've made it as far as Davenport, IA. No problems on the trip over... but Jim I see what you mean by the signal process. Lots of lights and seems like we had to stop at every corner. Finally couldn't handle it and went north to hit the I-80. That moved just fine and we made good time. Mary Kay's back is much better but still causing some pain. We sort of took a look around the area today and will head out for the west side of the state tomorrow.

Jim it looks as if the weather is going to turn cold on us. I hope it does not get too cold and wet for you on your trip up north. Have fun and hope to see you folks soon. HamRad

Dennis,

Take care. It may get slippery around those casinos this time of year.

Glad to hear Mary Kay is holding up ok.

Sorry I'll be off forum most of the time or I would watch your progess across the great American Desert.

Good luck. Stay in touch.

I think you guys are back on your wheels by Thurs nite. If you are still in the Holiday Express let us know here on the forum. You can buy us breakfast in the morning. (right now I've got the phone line plugged into this computer right now but will plug the phone in at 11:00 PM.}

Safe and happy travels.

The Keystone Tech explained how to do that.

We probably won't stop at the service center until after lunch.

Don't know if we will get out of Goshen area tomorrow. Got any RV Park recommendations?

Glad to hear Mary Kay is doing better and everyone is getting taken care of. We're also in a motel, but in San Diego, with the Montana back at Pla-Mor.

I see another advantage of having attended the rally. That is understanding some of the personalities. Now that I know Glen I can visualize him ribbing Keystone about the windows and I know it he would do it with a smile on his face.

Hope all works out well and those of you on the road drive safe.

I had a for the techs working on Jim's rig but you can bet I was at the tech that forgot to order my shower surround. But after the Montana folks came to the rescue I am very
All is well now and we are sitting in the fairgrounds at Indianapolis. Can you believe our luck?? They have a Boat and RV show this weekend. Like we haven't seen enough RV's this past week.

Whew, a long week for CountyGuy, pulled in to service center Monday night after the dinner at the MOC Rally. We left today, Saturday at noon, Indiana time.

Repairs done, now, when do we get to go camping next??

Darn, had I thought of it I could have stopped in and visited it. It must be lonesome being left alone in some strange airport.
Too late know, we are in Nashville.

It's probably enjoying the break after putting on 49k miles in 15 months. Hope you're enjoying Nashville.
