Dish traveler roof mount antenna

We recently bought a new to us 2017 Montana 3721RL. We are wanting to move our roof mounted Dish Traveler antenna from old unit. Anyone know if there is a delegated location to mount and where to bring in cables?

While I do not believe there is a specific mounting location by model number the Wingard installation manual does reference some mounting criteria. The manual is available on Wingard's site.

With regards to wiring the common options are utilizing tank vents or finding the open chase area that goes from the roof to the basement. This area is usually around the bathroom walls.

When CW in Las Vegas installed ours years ago, They mounted the dish about centered front to rear on the rig, and ran the cables to a location directly above the cabinet at the right front corner and came through the roof using the specially made device that seals the entry point, and attached +the cable to the roof surface in a number of places using cable clamps, with every thing sealed with Dicor sealant. Seeing as that cabinet is where the OTA comes in along with the booster, it made sense where it was brought in. You can't see the cables on the roof from the ground and there has never been a leak problem, and we have been very happy how it all works. We have two cable boxes, one for each TV, so existing cable worked as well.

I installed my dish close to my OTA antenna. I used the existing cable so I didn’t need to route a cable. If I should ever need the OTA I simply switch the cable from the dish to it. That should take about 2 minuets.

In our 2016 3160RL, the Winegard Traveler is installed just behind the front ac unit. The one thing we had to change was the gray tank roof cap to a lower profile cap so that the satellite folds and retracts correctly. Our cables run to the TV cabinet in the front bedroom and splits off from there to the rest of the trailer.
