Memphis, Tennessee
Any suggestions for a campground we will fit in?
Also, places to see?

Myna and Bob-- We have not camped there but Jan and Paul Kelpe did while we were heading back to the Omaha area. We had been down in Georgia and Alabama with the car and they were headed back from Florida with their rig. I think they stayed at a KOA just outside of Memphis. Maybe Jan will chime in here and let you know what it was for sure. It was a nice campground and the sites were large if I remember correctly!
Enjoy the Memphis area!

We stayed in Graceland RV Park right across from Graceland, 3691 Elvis Presley Blvd. the sites are large enough for the largest Montana, we found it OK for our visit to Memphis.

If you would like being down on the river Tom Sawyer RV Park is in West Memphis. You can back up to the Mississippi and watch the tug boats and barges. Take plenty of Deet bug spray with you.

Would also like to suggest that you check this site http://www.campgroundreviews.com/ which has reviews for parks in almost every place.

Mynabird, if you are retired military there is reasonably nice RV park at the base in Millington. Check it out on http://www.militarycampgrounds.us/te...midway-rv-park

We spent five nights before going to Goshen for the rally and two nights on the return trip at Tom Sawyers RV in West Memphis Arkansas - just across the river from Memphis tenn.
Make reservations - you have a better chance to
get a front row site to see the barges up close...
They offer Good Sam discount - which we did not have but gave it to us since we had Passport America cards.

Mynabird, Look at this place: http://tunicablog.harrahsblogs.com/mid-south-rv-park/ . It's 52 miles away but all interstate travel. (Do not take the shorter 40 mile jaunt on 61 you won't like the neighborhoods you go through.) Great park, full hook-ups, cheap food at Harrahs if you desire, and the best part only $14.40 a night with Good Sams for full hook-ups. We have stayed here several times going and coming from the Gulf! Jim

One of our daughters and family live in Memphis so we make 2 to 3 trips a year there with our trailer. We stay at the agricenter at Shelby Farms. Nothing fancy but very secure and quick access to most of Memphis.

Thanks, everyone!
We chose........door #1! I mean Tom Sawyer RV Park right on the Mississippi River!!!
Yesterday afternoon we saw tugboats moving on the river! After the sun set there was almost a full moon and it was gorgeous to see the reflection of light on the water!
This morning..... !
Again, thank you all.
