Dry-Wash

Our unit is in storage, but needs to be cleaned. Anyone ever used any of the dry-wash products (even though we know this will be a big project).

Are you referring to Dri Wash N Guard, the waterless cleaner for vehicle exteriors?

I have not used those products. I use a 2 gallon chemical sprayer. Hand pumper from walmart around 12 dollars. Fill it with water and have at it. Pre rinse and after rinse. It helps you do a reasonable job where washing is not permitted or water is not available.
Not to be used with aggressive cleaners that need a lot of rinsing.
However you do it, have fun.

In the past I have considered filling the fresh water tank, then using the outside faucet connection with a water hose (and on-board pump). Haven't actually tried it yet, but it is a thought.

There are two products that we use. One is Dri-Wash n Guard, the other is The Solution. Both products work equally well. I use either one of them even when we have access to water. It's a lot less messy. Don't have water all over the ground around the rig and there are not water spots.

Yes, I think its the Dri Wash n Guard. The RV is on our shop where too many other tools, etc. to mess with water, so we want to try the dry stuff. Glad to hear some have used it with good luck. Thanks!

Wanted to make sure on the product before I commented. I use to be a distributer many(23) years ago. I have used it on my snowmobiles, motorcycles, boats, and yes even the plastic on the 4 wheelers. Not to mention what it was intented for(my vehicles). I was very pleased at that time with the results. No swirl marks or any adverse after affects. And it seemed to keep them cleaner longer, almost like it repelled the dirt. Not sure if it has any thing in it that would harm the graphics or not, but it did not bother the decals on any of my other toys. If there is any heavy dirt it needs to be washed with water and soap first. I would recommend it. Not that much elbow grease involved. Wax on- wax off hahaha.

Bingo
Bingo,

I have done the a few times on the road to wash the bug off the front. I have a spray thing for the end of the hose so I can turn it on and off. Also use it to wash the barbecue.

My wife got some FW1 Cleaning Wax, no water required at BJ's. I used it on the front to clean all the bugs off while we were camping the end of October. As Orv said, they work well, but still a lot of work.

If all you want to do is get the bugs off, this product is the cat's meow. Used it on aircraft windshields. Not cheap but will melt the bugs away.

Mike-- Sounds good but will it damage or distroy the decals on the front of the Monte when you spray it on?

I have used Amsoil dry wash on my truck and was well pleased. I carry some in the coach and will use it if I get to someplace that won't let me wash the rig.
