Myrtle Beach....what fun!!

Hi all. We just returned form a trip to Myrtle Beach and what a great time!! We stayed at two different campgrounds that we thought were nice. Aquia RV Park in Stafford VA (just south of Quantico). The park was a little tight, but right off the highway and quiet. The sites were clean and well kept. We stayed at Ocean Lakes RV Park in Myrtle Beach. A huge place right on the ocean. Had a blast and look forward to returning next year. The only draw backs here are the golf carts, and the quiet hours. The gold carts are everywhere and because quiet time starts at 11 pm the carts parade around until then and things don't really quiet down until 1130 or so. We learned to sleep around this by staying up late and getting up later than we would usually do when camping. We were right on the water and the main cart roadway was about 30 feet away from us. We plan on getting a site farther away from the main roadway to keep the noise down. All said though......we loved it there!!

We've stayed in a many RV parks over the years. Ocean Lakes is the best by far. No where else is even close. Now you only need to get yourself a golfcart.

We stayed at Ocean Lakes last year and loved it!
Nice beach, nice people.
We stayed on a site right next to the roadway next to the beach.
Had fun.

We love Ocean Lakes and they have a top notch security and emergency medical crew. We have stayed twice, the first time about 400 yards from the beach and the last time about 20 yards from the beach. You are right about the golf carts. The first time there was just before Easter and we were there for the week after Easter. Starting Thursday before easter the carts got crazy and the entire park filled up. Monday after you could have shot a rifle from one end to the other and not hit a rig. I love off season... Dave
