Need an HDTV for bedroom
I have been searching for a new 19 - 22 inch HDTV for the bedroom of my 2955RL. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. K Mart has a 19 inch Sylvania on sale today ($200) but the reviews on it are not that great.
Have you purchased one lately? What brand? Where? How much? How does it perform?

Picture quality seems to be directly related to cost. I saw some nice pricing on an off-brand (Emerson I think) at Circuit City. I figured that in a 22-inch picture quality wouldn't be that big of a factor - but it was. Side by side there was a signicant difference in quality between brands, even though they were all 1080P and all relatively the same size. The cheaper TVs didn't seem to have the color depth.
With that, I have to consider that I'm replacing an anolog 19" TV in the bedroom, and I only use mine for vacation, so $200 starts to sound pretty good despite the reviews.

I agree with Brad, I purchased an Insignia from Best Buy, a 22" for the bedroom in the 3400RL. The quality of the picture is so, so, but it is "good" enough for the little amount of time it is watched.

In my opinion for a 22" screen 720p is fine.
No-name brands have an annoying habit of croaking right after the warranty expires, but 720p is lots less expensive so you can probably get a name brand for less than a no-name 1080i.
We have a Samsung 55" 1080i, a 32" Sharp Aquos 720p, and a 26" Toshiba Dynabright 720p. Like 'em all.

I recently purchased a 19" Curtis at HH Gregg for $189.00 on sale. Picture is great, sounds good, no problems except the digital signal is weak at times especially if the wind is blowing.
I purchased an attachment for the batwing antenna, improved the signal some, but not a cure. Hopefully it will get better later if they strengthen the signal. I do not have local channels on Directv here in Charleston without 2 dishes.

We have a 19" Emerson I picked up at WalMart for about $229. I have been very pleased with the quality of the picture both digital over the air and HD dish signals. It is only 720P however the quality of the picture is right up there with my larger 1080s. The 19" does not have a HDMI hookup. I think the larger Emersons do.

When our old home televisions died, we replaced them with Vizios, a highly-rated brand (by Consumer Reports, PC Magazine, and others) that is reasonably priced, we think, and sold by Wal-Mart, Costco, and other retailers. We've now had one of them for 4 years, the other one for 2 years, and are extremely pleased with both. We bought an inexpensive flat-screen Westinghouse for my mother-in-law's nursing home room; while the picture was ok, you can tell a huge difference in picture quality between that set and the Vizios.
I am not sure if Vizio makes a set small enough for the Monty bedroom cabinet. I know it does for the living room. In fact, someone on the forum recently posted photos of the Vizio they'd installed in their Montana living room. I can't remember who that was, but they were very pleased with the quality of that set.
