Here's the same picture taking just 21k space, half the original.


I just saved the picture (rightclick/save picture) then loaded it into Irfanview. I then told Irfanview to save it at 65% quality. If 65% make the picture look bad (rare) then I'll try again at 70 or 75%.

Irfanview is free at www.irfanview.com and is one of the best at this kind of thing I've used, and I've used a lot of them.

Here's the same picture at 65% quality and half the physical dimensions (width and height), also done with Irfanview. It takes 7k.

I have irfanview. Hadn't used it for that. Guess I need to play with that. I would have to put the picture probably on tiny pics and use that for the picture.
I usually use it for the slide show. We go to our state camp outs I take pictures and then at the next one set up a slide show for others to look at. I also send emails from dot photo to those that have email.
I knew I could count on you guys.
