Glacier NP

Looking to go to Glacier NP in July. Has anybody driven Hwy 90 and 93 from around Butte, MT. to Apgar? Coming up 15 from the south. Anybody stayed at Apgar campground?

I have driven there, but not pulled. But I think the road into the campground is fine. See what others say tho.
I stayed in Columbia after pulling from the East on highway 2. No problems on that road.

We went from I90 up US93 to US2 over to Columbia Falls last June (40'MH & a 40' 5er) with no problems. Only problem we had was the Going to the Sun Highway in the Park was still buried un 80' of Snow.

I've traveled that way pulling my camper twice. I don't remember much about the trip or the CG. I stayed at Abgar both times. The last time my wife and I was in Glacier was 2 years ago. We stayed at St Mary's. I really liked it. It's a rustic CG not far from the visitor center, supplies and fuel. There is a KOA just across the valley if that suits your needs. The road on the east side is steep in places but nothing that will tax your truck too much.
Go enjoy your self, have fun. Glacier is a very beautiful park. The Going to the Sun Road is must see.

It's a beautiful drive. We drove all three highways with no problems in 2007. We were pulling a Keystone Laredo with a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD and had no problems. Stayed at San-Suz-Ed in West Glacier, about 2 1/2 miles from the west entrance to the park. Also, highway 2 from West Glacier to St. Mary to the KOA. No problems there either. No information to offer about Apgar though. We'll be making the trip again next summer...can't wait!
