Old Gas Station Sign

I have a old Texaco gas station sign. Its a 72 " round sign and both sides have the Texaco T on it. the sign is porcelain on both sides and is in excellent condition. It is to big for the front of my barn so I am thinking about selling it. Anyone have a idea what it is worth?

I frequently watch American Pickers on the History Channel, and they very often buy these signs on the show. This is the link to their retail stores. I would at least give them a call, as they may be able to guide you. http://www.antiquearchaeology.com/locations.php

I also watch and enjoy American Pickers and even visited their Iowa "store" while in the area this summer. Both buildings are mostly outlets for their T-shirts, etc. and have a few items they have bought on display. If the sign was mine I would consider an ebay auction on it to maximize the selling price. I understand that Mike and Frank on the TV show only pay wholesale so why settle for that?

Funny story:
I had an old large round Coca Cola sign that we used for a sled in the snow behind our 4 wheeler. After more or less destroying it I found one selling for about 2k at the big First Monday flea market near Dallas!!! I now know what a 3 year olds laughter is worth LOL

Related to that, everyone should put First Mondays flea market on their bucket list. If it isn’t the largest flea market in the country,I can’t imagine what is! Held the weekend before first Monday of each month at Canton,TX east of Dallas

Take your Texaco sign to a good antique shop and have it appraised.
