No Water from Tank to Pump - Help

We have a 2017 Montana high country 379RD. We are not getting water from the fresh water tank to the water pump. Any suggestions. Called Keystone and it went out of warranty in May.They had our unit four months doing warranty work.We think this has never worked and may be a problem that has always been there and we are just discovering.

You may need to remove the white panel behind your convenience center so you can access the pump and plumbing area. The line from the tank to the plumbing area is not a pipe but is a hose, and the first thing would be checking if the pump is running when you turn the pump on. It is possible that maybe the hose is pinched, or the pump doesn't work. This is a photo of our plumbing area so you will know what you are getting into. The white hose is what comes from the water tank. You must also have the city/tank fill valve turned to the city or normal position before you can get the pump to move water from the tank.

The first connection to check is the suction side of the pump and even if that was the problem check all the other connections while you're in there. On our 2017 at least 5 had loosened up enough to leak air.

All good thoughts. Things to check:

Make sure there is water in the tank
Make sure the fill valve is in the correct position
Make sure the winterize valve is in the correct position
Make sure the pump is running
Check for leaks where the pump can suck air

Last thing, if everything else checks out, you have water in the tank, the pump is running and you still do not get water; it could be a bad pump. Mine failed after less than a year because of the debris Keystone left in the system (wood shavings) and the lack of a strainer installed at the pump intake. I replaced the FlowJet with a ShurFlo and everything works fine. FlowJet sent me a new pump (gotta spare now) since they have a two year warranty, but said they would not cover it again unless I installed a strainer (already done with the new ShurFlo pump).

As a side note, the ShurFlo pump is much quieter than the FlowJet; that alone was worth changing it.

Attached is a simple drawing I made of the water system.

Good luck.

Definitely check your winterize switch position before tearing into anything. In winterize position it would be sucking air.
