Not a voyuer anymore from Lake Tahoe

I have been reading and enjoying all the posts on this forum for a few months. We just put in our deposit on a new Legacy edition full body paint 3820FK. My wife, or as you all say, DW, wanted the 3820FK, and I got to order the truck. I have a Ram 3500 Cummins Dually fully loaded coming in a few weeks to pull the 3820FK. I will need all of your suggestions, since I have flown planes and raced cars, but have only rented a 30 foot travel trailer about 20 years ago, so I will be taking this slow, and reading the checklist like I did when flying?
DW wants to know if the Splendide 7100XC washer/Dryer works OK compared to seperate washer and dryer?

Thanks in Advance

Dennis & Tracy Kimball

I would say NO, believe the 7100 is the non-vented version and just about everyone who has had one dislikes it. I would suggest the 2100 Vented version of the combo washer/dryer or the best is the two units stacked or side-by-side depending on your layout. We had the 2100 in our Montana and first SOB with no problems, but now have the stacked washer & dryer.

Welcome and ditto the vented Spledide! We only have room for the combo, and the cycle is slow from washed to dried, but we HATE laundramats! Works out fine for us on the longer trips.

We have the vented combo unit and it works best for us.. I would not buy the ventless unit as everyone says they take to long to dry the clothes. Another concern is weight if it is installed in the foward closet causing extra pin weight.

Welcome to the forum! Another vote here for the vented combo. Don't be afraid to ask questions on this forum. Myself and many others had to learn from the ground up and this forum did the job for us.

Welcome from Arizona. I live in my 3582RL 7 to 8 months a year. Never had need of a washer dryer. Use the parks laundry as we like the exter storage where the WD would go. Plus just don't need the extra weight. JMHO.

Thanks, I think DW saw the 7100 at Camping world, and thought it was the best they had. So we really appreciate all of your input about the vented 2100.

Long timers 7 to 9 months a year in the Montana. The vented WD combo was the first add on we did .They are slower and hold less laundry but what is the hurry. We do a load maybe every three days throw in some detergent spin a knob, push a button wait about 1 hour or so for the buzz and unload .Watch Tv, have a beverage take a nap. Relax
