Slide cable broken

How did this happen? And how do I fix it? This is the front slide of my 3750fl.

You didn't say which cable, of the 8 possible, this is but I will hazard a guess it is the bottom cable on the front of the slide on the curb side (or the bottom cable on the rear of the street side slide)??

Regardless, this is usually due to the cable rubbing on the frame attributable to frame flex. I have had 4 like that and Montana fixed 2 under warranty and my extended warranty fixed the other 2. You can buy the cables on Amazon and change them yourself. I believe you will need a crimping tool of some type. But I know there are folks on here who have done and will be able to explain the process.

That is the exact problem that Keystone fixed on our 3700RL last week. For us this was a symptom of a larger problem. The side wall frame at the slide wall was broken. As we travelled the wall actually moved up and down and literally sawed through the cable. Keystone had our coach for ten days. They had to remove a portion of the side wall inside and out, weld and screw everything back together, then rebuild, epoxy and paint.

Look at all of your cables. Do you see any sign of fraying or small pieces of wire sticking out of the cable anywhere? Look at your sidewall where the closed slide out presses against the wall. There should be a flat molding around the slide out. See if any of this stuff looks out of place. Corners should be a clean 90 degrees. If any of the corners look cocked out of place you may have a frame problem.

If you have problems understanding the Accu-Slide Manual http://norcoind.com/bal/downloads/ac...ice-manual.pdf call them and ask for Tim. If he is not available he will call you back.
I am so glad to get rid of my SOB which was all cable slides. It was a nightmare.

Thank you for all your resources and knowledge. I closely looked at all my other slide cables, and they were all fine and uncut. I will hopefully have time this weekend to dive into it further this weekend and now I can read some literature to know what to expect. I'll report back when I get to take a look. Thank you very much y'all!
