AC running all day 3720 RL 2015

We are at a 30 amp state park. So, we only have main compartment A/C on during the day, bedroom A/C on at night. Worked fine today, fairly hot at 85 degrees. Then I noticed the Main A/C hasn't shut off today. I assume because the sensor is in the far corner of the bedroom? Any way around this as we camp at this State Park fairly often? The main compartment is cool and it's not even that hot in the bedroom. Except setting the air way up, any other ideas as we can only run one unit at a time? Thanks!

Adjust your ducts & etc. Might help if you posted what you've got.

We have the older less quite models and when we have had to drop down to one we close the main dump on the one we're running and push the cold air to the other end of the rig kind of evens it all out.

When we had the other Montana with 1 ac we would close the door to the upstairs during the day when it was very hot. After the sun went down open the door and the bedroom would cool in a few minutes. The bedroom did not get real hot as the ducts were still open but it helped down stairs.

You don't say what model you have, but our main A/C, located toward the rear of our trailer, uses the thermostat as the sensor for that unit, and the front/bedroom unit uses the sensor on the ceiling in the bedroom. Are you sure you don't have the fan selected to be on anything else but "Auto"? If you have the fan on Low, Medium, or High, it will run constantly and only the compressor will cycle.

Still ran all day! On auto. Maybe having one a/c not big enough for this unit? But bedroom unit doesn't run long when we first switch to it at night even though it is cooler? 3720 RL

If your running the bedroom with the dump open that makes sense. The bedroom is a smaller area and the sensor is right there on the ceiling. The thermostat is the sensor for the other unit and so your cooling a much larger area before the temperature is reached.

Thanks for the help. I think you are right. 50 amp site is next and we will see how it goes with 2 units running! Just seems to be hard on the unit?

When we have trouble with an A/C cycling or not cycling due to temps, I get a manual table fan and direct it at the sensor.

When we were full timers we learned to live on 30 AMPS during hot weather. When it gets hot you can run both AC unit. Put everything on gas then turn on the main AC and set it to 60. Then turn on the second AC and set it to the temp you want. That way you only will have one unit cycling. The high current is used when the compressor kicks on. This way you will only have one kicking on and off. Now if you want to use the microwave you have to turn off the second AC.
