Fairview Gas Regulator
just another experience to add to the low quality regulator used on my '11. The Fairview GR9984 had a spectacular failure with propane leaking around the perimeter of the crimp fitting. At least the leak was so big that the smell was obvious and easy to detect before any serious damage was done. Fortunately the replacement is easy but the only replacement that i could find on short notice was a different Fairview model with each stages using a separate round crimp.
The interesting thing was that it was only noticeable with direct tank pressure from the road side tank. With the curb side reduced to 30psi the leak was not obvious and i didn't smell the gas. With the direct tank on, i could hear the leak but didn't suspect the crimp till i spilled the soap solution on it while re-checking all the fittings.
I'll change back to a Marshal like i had on the '06 as soon as i can.

Marshall regulators can be difficult to find, heard company went broke, but not due to quality of product. We had our Marshall regulators moved from previous unit to present coach.

Wayne, I asked about the 3 stage charger and got 2 answers that they are and should be on all 2011's
So, I think you are good-to-go!

Finally got time to dissect the leaky regulator. What I found should be shared. There was an excessive amount of grease used for the valve lever that was also on the diaphragm causing the rubber to soften and leak at the sealing outer diameter. The concern is that all of the 'Made in India' versions used in the 2011 may have the same issue and will soon be failing in the same way as the grease slowly destroys the rubber. Mine failed at just short of 3 years from manufacture.
Marshal does not currently make the two stage auto change-over regulator. They sell the redesigned Fairview to their distributors with their part number added. According to their sales they hope to bring out their own model later in the year.
