Chicago Storage

I am planning Christmas in Chicago as my son lives there. I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to where I might find parking for my 35 ft Montan a for the period Dec21to27th. I have called at least 10 places who are either full or do not rent for the week. I am willing to travel at least 2 hours south on either I55 or 57 and return to Chicago with my tow vehicle only I will then be continuing to Texas for the winter.
Thanks for any help.

Rockcut State park is open year around. Not storage but you may be able to po srk it on a site. This is located right I90 north of Rockford, IL.

try these.

There are two McCormick Place locations for overnight RV parking

  • The 18th street lot is on the north side near Soldier Field and is the least used location for overnight parking. ...
  • The 31st street lot (also known as “lot B”) is on the south end of the Convention Center closer to the 31st Street Harbor.

Thank you both. I will look at both locations.

Vic B,

Where did you end up storing your RV? We need to store our RV for 9 days in the Chicago area this August while we have a family holiday in a rental house nearby. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David

Sorry I can not help. We never did find a place to store our trailer as most places were either full or would not rent for only one week. We tried A number of places in Chicago and a 50 mile radius with no luck. This was at Christmas so things may be different in the summer as people have their trailers out of storage.
