Fifth Wheel Hitch Issue

I have just purchased a brand new F350 Super Duty Crew Cab Long Bed Diesel for our new Mountaineer 342PHT and specifically requested the dealer to install a Pullrite 16k Super 5th with the SuperRail removable mounting kit. Unfortunately, the dealer, who by the way is supposed to be a Pullrite dealer, says he couldn't obtain the SuperRail kit and put the standard SuperBracket kit in without my knowledge. Now they refuse to make the switch. Does anyone know if I can change to the SuperRail kit and what do I do with the eight holes they drilled in the bed of my new TV???

spadasak,
I am sorry to hear about the huge mistake the dealership made on your new truck. My first question to you is, did you sign any paper work from the dealer that stats you ordered, or requested the super rail kit to be installed in your truck? If you have that in writing, you have the upper hand in this matter. You might want to call Pull-Rite at 1-877-PULLRITE or 1-574-259-1520 to find out if the rail kit you wanted will fit with the standard bracket holes. If not, I would be contacting the rv dealership and letting them know they will be buying you a new truck.

On edit,
I have the standard rail system in my truck for my Superglide, they have not caused to much inconvience having them in the bed all the time. If you can live with them, I would suggest leaving them instead of having new holes drilled into your frame and bed. Again, sorry to hear that your dealer has installed the incorrect equipment in your new truck. I wish you the best outcome possible.

I made the deal for the RV and the hitch over the phone as the dealer is 5 hours away. I do have a fax indicating that the exact part numbers I wanted. I also notified the BBB in our area. Maybe a call to Pullrite is in order. Thanks for the responses.

If you have the paper work take him to small claims court. What he did is not acceptable.

If he did not have the right rails ,their is something called over night delivery. This dealership needs to find a new service manager.
