Wow! What a ride! US-17-Flagstaff to Phoenix

Waynem Montana Master Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Texas City Posts: 5,736 M.O.C. #7673	Wow! What a ride! US-17-Flagstaff to Phoenix Left Williams, AZ, yesterday 'cause it was to darnblad cold, and headed South. Took US-17 out of Flagstaff. There are some 6% grades there that will test your exhaust brake system, and your brakes. Then we hit I-10 downhill to Tucson. Averaged 10.8 mpg in the SOB. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Edited: Yes I did mean I-17, not US-17. Shoosh! Gee! Nobody going to jump in about "downhill" to Tucson????
