DELETING a duplicate reply.....

I have been noticing a number of duplicate and triplicate replies. This usually happens when the forum slooooooows down and folks are not sure if their reply went through or not. Quite often they will click the "Submit Reply" button a second or even a third time. When they do get back to that thread they find that they in fact replied more than once but have no idea how to correct this. It is simple to delete dulicates.

With the duplicate reply on your screen click on the icon at the top of that reply. A small window will open asking for your password. Enter your password and click on "Send". Viola, the duplicate is gone.
You can also use this icon to delete your New Original Post as well.

It's not always a "user problem". A few posts back, I got a "timed out" message before my reply posted, so I did it again and got "timed out" again. I shut down my IE and came back later. When I tried to reply to the same message which had apparantly failed twice before, I found that BOTH replies had posted. I did delete one like a good MOCer.
