Arches National Park Camphosts

We will be campground hosts from March 1 through April 30, 2009.

We hope to see many MOC members there. If you should have any questions about reservations, size restrictions or anything else related to camping at Arches, please contact us after the 1st of March and we will be happy to answer your questions and help you make a reservation.

Wow! You folks are taking on a big job. Congratulations. We'll be expecting great things over that direction. I'm sure you'll enjoy your job. I know this is one of your favorite places.

See you on down the road.

We loved the Arches/Moab area. So much to see and do. Plenty to explore there. You'll have a blast!

Just looked up Devils Garden CG in Arches. "No slideouts or hookups, and sites are 12x28!" Unless they've upgraded, MOC folks will stay in a Moab CG and come visit?!!!

Robbie and Alice,

That sounds fantastic - we love Arches and Moab. We'll be heading up that way but after you have finished your camphosting.

We didn't realize that had spaces for rigs our size - or is it just for the camphost?

Good luck!

Robbie, don't know if you know them or not but Howard and Linda have worked the Arches last year about the same time. I think they are going back this year but not sure. Its a beautiful place to see. We were there in 2005. I believe Howard said one of the Arches has falling down? GBY...

Yes, some of the spaces are small, but we have camped there without problems, and there are spaces where the 30 foot restriction is not really a problem if you know the park. Our rig with the scooter on the back is quite a bit longer.

40 years ago, I made my first trip to Arches National Park as a high school senior on a "sneak" trip. I have stayed in the campground more than 20 times since that time. Moab and the surrounding area have been a favorite for a very long time, and to be able to volunteer there is very special.

Delaine and Lindy, amazing who knows Howard and Linda. I've been following their journal RV-Dreams for 3+ years, and they are here in the Quartzsite circle, with the "MOC Boondockers Crew". Last year when we visited them at Arches, we inquired about how difficult it would be to acquire a volunteer position......guess we got our answer, they recommended us, and we now have a job where dreams are made! They like MOC people. BTW, we'll be campground hosting at the same time as them.

If we see anything worth taking a picture of, we'll post it!

Wow! Have a great time. One of our favorite areas. Ed still thinks he wants to settle some where in Utah. We haven't found that perfect place yet! LOL
Happy Trails....................

That should be a great experience. Beautiful area, and based on the pictures you've posted so far, I'm betting you'll find plenty to wow us with. Good Luck and enjoy.

Moab is a special place for sure. We are heading to Fruita Co. to host at Highline Lake so we will spend lots of time in Moab with the Jeep crawler real soon. Then back to Steamboat Lake for the summer host job.
