Montana 2980 question

I have found a new 2008 2980RL at a dealer. It has three slides and an island kitchen. Does anyone know if you can get to the refrigerator if the slides are in?

The answer to this is yes IF you make one change and possibly two.

If you turn the table lengthwise (opposite direction) there would be room AND if you can get past the couch (depending on your body size).

The other option is to swap the couch for the chairs (measure to be sure slide will come in with couch in back in front of window). Then I know for sure you can get to the refrigerator.

Ask them to show you. In fact, many people on here either... swap furniture placement... or remove a recliner (or both)... or totally remove furniture and replace with another choice!

Should be an easy fix and is what we are hoping to do very soon!

We enjoy this floor plan immensly! Keystone/Montana no longer makes this floorplan and those of us who have it truly enjoy it!

Usually to get to the refrigerator you have to push out the livingroom slide a little bit. Unless you feel like being a gymnist and climb over the table.

We took out 2 of the chairs from around the table and this gives us more room at the table. It is only the wife and I so we don't need 4 chairs.

We love the floor plan and are now thinking about getting rid of the 2 factory recliners and pick up some nice lazy-boys to replace them. The original factory recliners from 2004 were not very comfortable and were shorter also. The newer models came with nicer and more comfortable recliners.

Hope you enjoy your 2008 and have many fun times with it.

Thanks for the replies. I was 100miles away from home when I saw it on the lot. It was late Sat and I really didn't want to have the guy get out the battery pack and show me. He was in the process of locking everything up for the day. It is nearly identical to our 289RL Mountaineer. The kitchen and island are the only real differences. The dealers price was high for a three year old model. We do like the color of the wood, Honey Oak which is what we are going to buy when we find the right trailer.

Just as Mynabird said, I also have a 2980 RL its not a 08 its a 04 but its still the same floor plan as mine. I did the table modifications and I can get to the back of the frontroom/kitchen area just fine, one of our members posted some pictures of mounting a barstool berring base to the table and a locking meckinism for the table it realy works great and can be rotated 360 deg if you want but it is better to do that befor the slide is moved in befor traveling.
Im sure there is somebody out there that might be able to direct you to that post on the table.
