Splendide Stackable .....

When we were in Mesa Arizona we had Camping get us a Splendide Stackable W/D a Ariston model. Had to leave Arizona before we used the W/D. Got back to Tennessee and Delaine done a load of laundry and then started to dry them, ran great the first day. Then the next day it stopped. Let set, and it would start and then it stopped and would not start. So off to Camping World, you know still under warranty. The Recepticle was bad, replaced the 110 Recepticle and it works great. We had the Splendide Combo, but never used the other Recepticle, 200 miles round trip. Oh well we had fun, and Delaine is happy. The Splendide Ariston is great. The 110 Recepticle was loose and it shorted out, so check them before hooking up the W/D... GBY...

Thanks for the tip Delaine and Lindy!

Still looking at ours in the garage. Haven't installe them yet. I notice there is nothing that really secures the washer to the floor, is yours just sitting in there?

bsmeaton, Thats a good question and I don't know for sure. I just went and shook the W/D and it didn't move. We also ordered a Stackable kit and a drip pan, it is specficly made for Splendide. I'm not really sure how they secured the unit. If I were you I would call Splendide and ask, they are very good people to deal with. Good Luck... If we can help let us know...GBY...

We also have a issue with the folding door, with the door in a folded position we can't open the drier door??????

Thanks for the info - I did get the stack kit, and they do have hooks for the feet on the washer, but only for the front. From the looks of it, the whole thing will tip out towards the door if I accellerate too hard.

Several folks have modified the door to fold on the others side, or better yet I have seen them open in the middle. I believe it is relatevely east to do. Hopefully someone will jump in with how they did it.
