Crown molding fell off
What is the best way to reattach the crown molding that covers the led lights at the top of the wall. It has a bunch of nails in it but that didn't hold. I was thinking some kind of glue and nails like liquid nails.

We had the same problem when our 3950 was a couple of months old. Our problem was worse at the ends of the molding, Appears the weight of the molding was too heavy and popped away when on the road. I used a couple of round head sheet metal screws ( they secure better than wood screws) at the ends that were pulling away and then painted them to match the wood. After 8-9 months they are holding well and keeping the thin nails in place in the other areas.

Combination of a few brads to hold while an application of gorilla glue sets. Brads can be tapped in and covered easily. Our 2015 molding in the living area stopped abruptly and looked odd. I extended molding throughout to include the half bath and bedroom. That combination of brads and glue has worked well for us.

Be careful of Gorilla glue or similar as some of those expand quite a bit as they cure. But I do agree that a proper glue with some small finishing nails would be my go to. I have a pneumatic finishing nailer that simplifies such a process.

I have just a word of caution about using any glue. In the unlikely event the wall has to be removed (rare but it happens) getting the crown molding off intact is unlikely. More common is removing a slide for some kind of repair. The molding around those boxes has to come off to remove the slide so glue on those pieces will also cause problems. Hopefully it won't happen to you, but it does occur.

x2 bobandbrenda We did the same thing, I drilled a hole through the crown molding first so as to not take a chance of splitting. The nails appear to be cheap aluminum nails used in a nail gun shot into the aluminum frame.
