Flair Sofa Upgrade

We have been considering replacing the furniture in our 3455SA. We have the Flair Brown Leather sofa sleeper with the air bed. It is hardly ever used, unless we have company, or the grand kids come visit.....the air bed works fine, no leaks.

But before we went thru the blood, sweat and tears (not to mention the expense), of dealing with the sofa, we decided to try replacing the foam seat cushions. They were so aggressive, that you felt like you were sitting on a concrete bench.

So, we found an online cushion company - www.cushionsexpress.com

You provide the measurements, you can choose the density of the foam, there are a couple of corny videos that will help you with the density decision. I think we chose the medium with 1.5" memory foam on top and a Dacron wrap. We received the new cushions today and are really pleased with the results. The sofa is now much more comfortable to sit or lay on. I am going to replace the back cushions with down filled pillows that are available at a local fabric shop, I had one to test drive and it is really nice, I considered removing some of the stuffing out of the existing back pillows, but the down makes a huge difference...there are options for down cushions on the same web site. We will complete the upgrade for less than $300

Added bonus - we found the storage drawer under the sofa! Didn't know about it!

Needless to say...the recliners are still getting the boot, once we figure how to get them out the door...heading to Lazy Boy.

getting them out the door is NO PROBLEM ,take off the back cushion and back your Pickup to the door and Chuck Um in the back bed AND if they are OK shape the Furn store will unload them for you and give them to charity AND put your New ones back in
