Landing Gear
I am having a problem blowing the in line 40 amp fuse on the landing gear. Everytime I start putting the weight of the unit on the landing gear while hooking or unhooking to the hitch it blows the fuse. Today I went through 4 fuses just to get it lifted high enough to get it hooked to the truck. Has anyone else had this problem? and can anyone tell how to fix it?

Only when I forgot to loosen the screws on the JT stabilizers.

I replaced the fuse with a 40 amp resettable breaker.
However if you are blowing fuses that often when unhooking I suggest you check for proper lubrication and more important possible binding.
I suggest you pop the cap of each leg in the propane compartment. There should be some axle grease on those gears. If not I would take some 90 weight axle oil and slowly pour it on the center and let it run down. This purpose is to lubricate the worm shaft which extends and retracts the leg. If you are hooked up to the truck run the legs up and down after lubing both legs. Once you feel they are working better then put a big glob or wheel bearing grease in the top of each leg and put the cap back on.
Here is a photo of leg mechanics.

To add to John's comments above, I had the same problem, and discovered that when I put a level to the right leg, it was bent. Apparently just enough to cause enough drag to blow fuses. I had to replace the leg. Somewhere along the way, I damaged it.

X2 on the damaged leg. Ours came cracked from the factory and did that to the dealer during PDI.

After reading this topic I took the time to inspect my landing gear. One side was well lubed and the other was needing some lube. I seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a hole in the side of the legs to spray lube into. I must have over looked it, but at the time I was focused on just pulling the covers off and inspecting the gears.

In my opinion, you shouldn't have had to do it on a rig that new.

Once again, John Kohl has an in depth, appropriate response. Thanks John.

I checked and our unit has grease gun fittings on the front side of the landing gear about where the gears are located. Maybe I should pump a little grease in them.
