One hitch post not super tight

We have a 3950BR on a F350 DRW.

The rv dealer installed the hitch the first time. When I had a bed liner sprayed in I had to reinstall myself.

I’ve attached a picture of the relevant page of the manual.

Three of the locking mechanisms sit in perfect and tight. One of the posts is slightly loose. I’ve adjusted the post height per the manual, but the ideal height is between sections of the nut where I can place the cotter pin. In other words I cannot set the pin at the perfect tension because it’s in between slots.

With the assembly installed I think it’s impossible for the post to pop out. But it does slide into the proper position without much effort. If I lower the post one more notch, it won’t lock into position. So unless I’m missing something I think this is the best I can do?

It might have been this way initially and I just didn’t know it, because I didn’t install it.

If you have any opinions on this I would appreciate it, as this is my first 5th wheel.

Thanks for the time,
Kevin
