Tucson in April

We're planning a spring trip to Tucson in April and would like to know if anyone has RV park recommendations. We are also playing golf and would appreciate course recommendations.

Depending on your budget, have a look at the Tucson LazyDays KOA. We’ve wintered there for the past 4 years. They have very nice sites and the campground has lots of amenities including an outstanding BBQ restaurant. It’s a gated campground located on the south side of Tucson.

But, they are pricey!

Lots of options in the Tucson area, www.campgroundreviews.com is you friend.

Thanks Dave. I had this KOA on my list along with Whispering Palms. Price is secondary to location and amenities. I will look at your suggested web site also.

Tucson Lazy Daze KOA would be our recommendation, too. We've spent a week or two there for the last 4 years in February, and don't even consider anywhere else. It is convenient to several large RV lots/parts stores, and is pretty much self contained. The best spaces have pavers, fireplaces, sunshades, and are generally open on one side, i.e., not another RV there.

The DW looked at the You Tube video of the KOA with me and she loved it. it seems like the other parks I looked at had issues with noise and or small spaces. We will be there for a week so we'll need the comfort and amenities. Thanks to you all for the help.

There is a pretty nice GC at OroValley. Can't remember the name but very nice. I played it over Christmas with a friend from up north who is a snowbird.

Catalina State Park to stay. Starr Pass, La Paloma, Tucson National, Arizona National, Vistoso and Ventana Canyon are all nice courses.

The corse in OroValley is called "The View". I found the hat I bought there. Heck of a memory so long as I don't loose the hat.

It looks like a very nice course but it's a long way from the KOA that we'll be staying in.

Lazydays koa is a great park however it was the most costly place we have ever stayed.....not because of the park....it’s right next door to Lazydays RV dealership. We had no self control and left with a brand new SOB.

We’re afraid to go back!

I know what you mean, we went to CW for an outdoor carpet for our 28 foot 2002 Montana and left with a 35 foot 2014 High Country. And we didn't even get the carpet.

The KOA. It costs but it is great. Dealers and Camping World right there. Also Carl's RV Service if you need some work done.
Near casinos and south are some golf courses.

We're really looking forward to it. The wife will be thrilled to know about the casinos.
