Adjusting level manually left/right

I'm sure there is a simple answer, but I was not able to adjust my rig (2017 Montana 3950br) or my father in laws 2018 High Country (not sure of model) left to right when trying to level manually.
Mine works fine in auto, but I couldn't get his to in auto and tried manually and could only get to raise/lower front to rear, but would not do anything left to right. So I went to mine and tried to manually adjust left to right and wouldn't work either.
So what's the trick?

On our old and new one you turned the key pad on and then, if you wanted it to go up you pushed the arrow for the side you wanted, to go down, you pushed retract first and then the side you wanted to go down. The sides worked the same as the front button and the back button. If yours don't work that way call Lippert, but since you're having the same problem on both rigs it sounds like you're not using the side buttons.

First thing you have to ensure is that you have initiated the keypad in Manual Mode. Then it should be fairly simple. Bring all the leveling pads down to the ground on the rear so they pick up a bit of the weight like the front. From there it should be simple enough to level left or right. If you have the auto mode correctly calibrated so it is perfectly level you can use the numbers on the pad to level front to rear & left to right. Try and get them all to 0's or +or- 1 and you should be good. Been using manual mode since buying the trailer in 2015 no issues at all...

i'll try again. I had them both in manual and pushing left/right buttons...but only front/rear worked on both. Must be something I'm doing as I'm the common denominator...

It's always best to try and get the rig as level side to side as possible to start! With boards or lego's first before you do it manual or auto leveling!

I think this is the first I've seen this issue, please post what you find out. I also only use manual mode, most places I go, the sites are pretty level

In 7 years of having and using the Lippert 6 Point Level Up system, the only time I haven't used the "Auto-Level" button is when I want to lift the tires off the ground. Why use "Manual" when the system is designed to level the RV for you?

I think you push the rear and left or right buttons at the same time to move each rear independently.

I just put it in the manual mode and push the left or right buttons. Then if you need to lower one side you hit the retract button. The only time I use the manual mode is when I do not unhook from the trailer or need to change a tire. Other than that I always use the auto-level button.

To almost guarantee the auto mode will work, make sure your front jacks always extend at least 4-5 inches before unhitching. Then before pushing the auto button, the front of the rig needs to be higher than the rear. Then hit Auto. To get the rear or front to level side to side manually, push say front & left at the same time, and so forth. The middle jacks only move together holding both left & right at the same time. And of course, are not used for leveling, just stability. Mine is the 3.0 ground control 6 point system. Hopefully that helps?

I have about a 20% success rate using Auto-Level. 80% have to finish it manually.

Have only used the manual mode when we want to lift the unit off the ground to work on the tires. Auto level works fine.We do check for "level" from time to time and maybe once a year do the calibration procedure.
