Texas Loop 375 Around El Paso

We will be driving I-10 west from San Antonio this week. What is the status of Loop 375 around El Paso? Lots of stop lights? My map search on the internet shows is a nice route around El Paso going either west or east. Comments are welcome.

I drove it last year. Not many lights. When you hit 54 turn north. Drive straight north and when 54 turns east, get off and go north on Kenworthy/FM3255 into NM. Turn west on 404 over a 'hill' to I10.
I have driven thru the city and the traffic is awful any time of day. This route is 4 lanes all the way, I think (except mabe part of 404) and few lights - maybe fewer than 6-8. Also the traffic is light mostly and moderate during rush hour.

We use part of it every year and it's been good for us.

TXDot is always a good source. http://conditions.drivetexas.org/current/

I also use the app Waze to check along the way.

Thanks for the info. I have checked Txdot and they had a really nice map showing the loop as well as intersections. I plan on following 375 heading west on I-10 next week.

We drove Loop 375 around El Paso today. No stop lights and great traffic flow. Yes the 8% grade thru Franklin Mountain State Park was a little steep but not a problem going either way. I recommend it for Monty travelers on I-10 east or west bound thru El Paso.

you can avoid the 8% grade by following my instructions above and enter I10 near Anthony. A pretty level road with light traffic.
