LoneOak ... thank you so much! That is the exact type of intel I was looking for.

We have never attended a rally but have always thought it would fun. I have noted the sewer hose, bike and food. We proudly live 20 miles from one of the largest USMC Air Stations in the continental US (love that sound of freedom) ... so trains don't really bother us.

So, specific questions? Is it a campground or fairground that turns into a campground for events? Electric? Water? Is it for Montana owners only? About how many attend? We are coming from Eastern NC where in September the heat index still reaches 100° or better...Indiana that time of the year (I am assuming your there or near there).

Thank you soooo much for time and attention to this 'ole NC gal!

Fair grounds with lots of full hookup camping.
Non-Montana owners may be there, but they will be in other areas. I think there were 144 units there.
There are 2 areas at the fair grounds where we camp. There are 70 Prime spots and the rest are ummm overflow. Overflow can be tight camping.

2 Words Amish Dinner!! Go to that!!!

Weather was nice and cool there. Hint we are from Texas.

Great folks Fun time.

When we were there in September, it was quite warm out. The weather can be hot or cool, rainy or dry. I would pack for various kinds of weather.

The Fairgrounds is massive. There are a number of permanent buildings. The campsites are permanent setups, dedicated to camping.

There is a set number that can attend, so register early. Your registration fee includes camping. If you want to arrive a day or so before the rally, you need to contact the Fairgrounds directly and arrange that with them. You can also arrange to stay longer if you want to.

There is a huge flea market in Shipshewana, not far away, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

They have a ladies driving school, complete with trailers supplied by Keystone. Register early for that. There are many seminars, dinners, tours, etc. It us such a great rally!

David and Mary-- You have been briefed some but you will have to watch for a whole lot of info to be coming this coming spring and summer. One thing new this coming year at the Fall Rally will be we will be holding all of our sessions inside. Previous sessions, meals and entertainment have all been held under tents. This coming year we will not have to worry about heat or cold or rain because everything will be held in one of the buildings on the fairgrounds. As has already been said, there are a lot of campsites with full hookups on the fairgrounds. This is a county fairgrounds but also can handle up to at least 300 rigs if need be. We are hoping to have approximately 175 rig registry this next year. This will be a totally new Rally because of the sessions being held indoors. We will have multiple tours, multiple potluck meals as well as other furnished meals, sessions/classes by OEM companies that supply materials for the Montana's and High Country's, entertainment and much much more. As one of the Co-Wagon Masters we are hoping to make this the best Fall Rally that has ever been held. Watch for further announcements concerning the 2019 Fall Rally and we hope to see you in September!

Having just received delivery of our new Montana Monday we will look forward to attending the Rally and learning more about Fifth Wheel life. We have worked the Goshen Fairgrounds since 2000 with our motor home Maintenance Session Rally and know what a fantastic location for an event. Looking forward to it!

We are planning on coming to the rally, but want to make a several week trip out of it. Any suggestions on places to camp and things to see up into Michigan's upper penensula? Not sure right now whether it will be before or after the rally.

Thanks in advance

Baldicon - there is a regional rally in Michigan right after the national rally. Check the Regional clubs section of this forum. Maybe you would be interested.

This will be our 14th rally as we do not live that far away and the Goshen/ Elkhart area are among our favorites.
