Black Alligator Marks

We hit a black alligator (tire tread) on the highway. It left black marks on the front and basement door. Does anyone know how to remove these? We used some cleaner and it faded the marks but they are still there.

You might try dryer sheets. They are very slightly abrasive and do a good job of removing bugs and most other stuff from the front cap.

kerosene on a rag. If that don't do it use light rubbing compound.

I had blow out on a SOB and used simple green. It removed the marks on the trailer but wouldn't get them off the water heater cover.

Try 91% alcohol, you can get it at any drugstore. If that doesn't get it all out, try paint thinners, not lacquer thinners or acetone or Goof-Off. Those are too strong and will damage any finish you may have on area.
