Refrigerator Danger
I had ARP install their unit to keep the fridge from overheating at the Q Circle yesterday. They found one bolt missing and the other loose on the upper coils in the top vent. The coil was rattling around and could easily have broken, leaked the ammonia, and caught fire.
Check your bolts and loctite in place. I dodged a bullet. It is incredible how many of these little things can get you in a lot of trouble on these trailers.

I have an ARP unit with fan control on my fiver and have installed the same on 3 other owners fridges. You'll thank yourself many times over for getting one. My fridge runs better at a lower setting than it ever did.

It's on my list also whenever I get around someone who can install one.

This is their site. Explains everything their product does. I don't understand why, but our fridge works better than ever with the addition of this control.

Bob ... I agree with you on performance. I believe the fan control logic and where the fan control sensor is located as opposed to the stock location is an important factor. My fans are more active. Fans move air and air movement draws heat away from the coils.

I installed a four inch Blade AC fan in the bottom vent pointed straight up last summer. Been on the road most of the time, and in Florida since 1Nov. RM 1350 in a slide. Runs steadily 36-38, in temp position 3. Stock fans at the top rarely kick in. ARP on my to do list.

I also had it installed with the fans at the Quartz rally and what a difference. With the Norcold set to level 6 the freezer is 4 and the fridge is 34.

I am so grateful for this info. Our frig "The Beast" has been the dickens to use, we approach it with fear and trepidation. Will have it installed before March!
