Colo campgrounds - Tall Texan in Gunnison

Gunnison is located in southwestern Colorado, near the end of a very large valley. Cold air gets trapped in this valley in the winter, and temps can stay below zero for days. It is also on US50.
Tall Texan Campground is open May - Oct only. We visited last August, and really enjoyed it! Quiet park, well managed, many folks come back here year after year for the summer. Lots of tall trees provide ample shade. Bring your hummingbird feeders, or watch your neighbors. Room for large rigs, but it may take a few passes to get tucked in between the trees.
You are smack dab in the middle of the Colo Rockies - lots to see and do! Gunnison is a small town, easy to bike or even walk the entire town. Full hookups, 50AMP service.
Worth visiting for a couple days or months!
