Generator storage when traveling?

For those that have them, where do you store your 2 x honda 2000i gens (or equivalent) when traveling? In the tv or in the 5er and if in the 5er, where?
Thanks for any ideas

I lock mine in the tool box in the TV. Only have one though, although I have room for two. Search the forum and others will show you what they did, including building a carrier that attaches to the hitch....

I think most have them in the truck bed, some may carry them in the basement. If you have a hitch, you can get a carrier and cary them there.

I carry mine in the truck bed as close to the cab as possible. Then I chain them up along with the pancake compressor and extra 20# propane bottles and fuel cans for the gennys.

I've got a Kipor KGE3000 that we don't use a whole lot, but when we do we just put it on the floor just inside the entry door of the fiver. I removed 2 of the 4 wheels and put rubber bumpers the same height, so it has never moved around on us. You do have to pack it out when you get to your campsite, but on the way there there are no worries about someone else borrowing it at stops along the way or buying locks and cables. Like I mentioned, we don't use it more than 3 - 4 times a year, but it does come in handy during those times.

Mine are in the front cargo bay of the Monty, leaves the basement free for all that other stuff we must have.

Mine goes in the tool box, locked and out of sight.

I store my Boliy Gen set in the basement on the drivers side. Fits in perfect and I always have it along.

I put 2 - 2000ie's in my front tool box closest to the cab for weight distribution along with 6 gallons of gas, operators manual, and anything else I need. Locking chains, jumper cables, long neck funnel in case I need to pour gas in truck sometime, which has happened.......JB
