That keeps the sewer gas’s from coming in to your RV, works like a regular pee trap

More than likely that device is the issue. I believe you are able to remove and clean the diaphram.

Take it off to clean. Don't try to "snake" it as that will tear it up.

I've had one turn its self inside out twice. Have no clue to what caused it, but sure made the drain really slow. Flipped it back the way it is suppose to be and drains fine now.

Use a soft brush to clean it once you have it removed. Once it's clean, if you never want to do that again, use a screen in the shower. We buy them in sets from Amazon and then we take the screw out and remove the cover that's over the drain and use the screen from then on. You won't believe how often and how much you have to clean out of the screen, but going on 10 years of full timing since I discovered that and never have had a Hepvo valve out again.

I found a small, about 1” diameter, bottle brush that I can work through the drain in the shower and can clean the membrane without removing the Hepvo device. Haven’t had to remove the Hepvo valve ever. Now, the one under the sink in the bedroom, that has to come out to clean it.

Can't see where it is installed in the picture.
I do find the loop of red wire a good start in straightening out the messy wiring.

A couple of times over the years our shower would drain slowly. I simply cupped my hand and hit down on the drain. Like a plunger it forces water to push the restriction on down the line.

Yep, you've got to watch out for those loops of wire especially the red ones!

In the top picture, look in the upper right hand corner for a while plastic thing in the black ABS drain line. It has a red circle around it.

I used a plunger to force water and air down through, then pealed the corner of the plunger to release it without pulling everything back through.

Montana man has got it. Sometimes the shower does not drain. If I hold me foot over the drain and let go when some water builds up, it starts working again.

Removing the hep trap (real name forgotten) is quite simple. It's only hand-tight on the PVC line. I put a bucket under it to catch drippage, then unscrew it. Run a shop towel through it a time or two and rinse it out, then pop it back on.
If you're using it on a full-time basis, there's a decent chance it'll gunk up eventually. Soap scum and shampoo, etc makes it a bit gross, but it's an easy clean.
I have an annual reminder set to do it, which works for us.
On a related note, our washing machine has one on it as well. This is in the closet and it's MUCH harder to get to. When I did do it, after a few years of very regular use, it was in pretty great shape and didn't really require cleaning. Your mileage may vary.
Good luck.

Did you try to use a plunger on the shower drain? If so, the plunger can suck the rubber innards of the Hep V O device back towards the shower instead of it pointing towards the waste tank. Also, after winterizing, the RV antifreeze can cause the rubber to stick together, thus reducing flow, until a little water has been run through it. Worse comes to worst, you might have to replace the Hep V O device.

I've read on other threads that vinegar and baking soda will "clean" the soap scum and gunk from it.
I've also used the "cupped hand" approach as a plunger to improve the drainage.

Is that the reason we get a slight odor from the shower drain , not closing up properly, ? My previous fifth wheel had a conventional p-trap never had any issues . Was not aware of these type of drains . Why not just a conventional trap .
On edit , I see ,mostly because of limited space , learned something new today . Mine may not be closing properly allowing some odor .
