king pin stabilizer tripod

I own a 3811MS, set up on a cement pad.
I want to buy a stabilizer tripod because sometimes I feel some bumps when DW is walking throughout, she feels the same when I'm walking through.

What is a decent brand that will do the job without breaking the bank?

Please and thanks.

I think they're all about the same. Before you buy you might want to check out this Keystone thread and consider JT Strongarm Stabilizers

Many of us have given ours away over the years. If you don't have level-up the strong arms are a good bet, if you do have level-up try using some blocks under the jacks so they aren't extended as far.

If you ask around someone will probably give you a set. This was a must have item a few years ago, not so much any more.

I used one for one season. Might have helped a little, but not much. Paid a hundred plus for it. Sold it at a campground for $40 and felt fortunate. Then I installed JT Strongarms and they are night and day better. But I don’t have auto leveling.

Don’t need it so don’t buy it. Look into the strong arm stabilizer.

O just so you know you are in an RV not a house anchored to the ground.
Get use to it as nothing will get it gone completely.

Just saying is all.

I sold mine as they dont really work.

I use strong arms on the landing gear and adjustable stands for the frame in front and behind the axles for bounce.

We experienced movement just like you and your wife when we first bought the 5'er. Tried the pin tripod with the same results all the previous poster experienced. Sold the tripod on Craigs list. Installed an alternative to JT Strongarm, http://www.steadyfast.com/index.html
The steadyfast combined with the X-chocks between the wheels has eliminated most the movement or at least enough to satisfy the DW.

I'll try the wooden blocks under the Lippert Level up so that the landing gear doesn't have to extend so far.

Do the same thing under your rear stabilizers. Every little thing helps take some of the bounce out.

There's always going to be a little movement but I do like as little as possible. I have the 4pt auto level and also use the Strongarms in the front. Overall it's pretty solid.

We use 2x10x12 wooden boards under each leveler every time we set up regardless what surface we are on and ours is rock steady.

After installing the Elephant feet pads on our front jack legs we stopped fussing with the tripod. The tripod helped but the easy wider feet make a huge difference alone, other than spending the cash to add triangulation to the front jack legs it was the best cheap money spent. Just an opinion!

I always get a kick out of the folks with their KingPin Tripod on their TrailAir Pin with the Air Bag fully inflated.

If you are set up on a pad and don't move it much, any cheapie tripod will suffice. We had one and loved/hated it. Hated more than loved so away it went.

Your movement could be your jacks extended to far. I always use enough 2x10's under my jacks to keep the legs from extending to far. Many rver's unhook then push the keypad and however long the jacks have to extend to level then so be it. I never level without at least 1 under every jack and some times the middle and rear get 3 or 4 2x10's so I am not overextended. The shorter the jacks the more stable the rv.

Stabilizer

I have one I will give you. Used it on our previous 5th Wheel Trailer, it did not have 6 point leveler. Big difference.

Snap Pads was my answer. Less than 15 minutes to install one time and done.
