Is there a concern going from 80 to 85 profile?

Hi,
New owner of a 2011 Montana High country 333BH. Any concern If I change OEM
tire 285/80r16 for 285/85r16 ? Axle spacing ? Rim vs pressure ? I am looking for BF Goodrich Commerical TA ..

We have the BFG's on our rig with no problems. They are 80# tires.

A great many of us have gone from the ST 80 to the LT 85, they stand up much better.

You shoild do fine with the LT285/85R16's. We have the BFG Commercial TA's, they were 2 years old when we took the off the SOB and put them on the Mountaineer. Might be hard to find right now though.

I changed out the originals with the BFG Commercial TA's. Very happy with them. What I found was that looking for tires with the 285/80r16 size. There were not alot of tires to choose from. The ones I did find were big money. When you do replace, make sure you get the metal stems installed.
