Larry join the crowd! We've had that for the past week to two weeks! It's 80* here in Omaha already at 8:30AM and we're expecting temps in the mid to upper 90's and HIGH humidity which causes the heat index to soar! We have to head to the farm and start to mow and trim out there as well as at the cabin and acreage which we have up for sale. Have to keep it mowed and look'n good for a hopeful sale! We have about 5-6 acres at each to mow so it will be a long hot job for the next couple of days! Then back to Omaha and work on the Monte with some mods I'm doing! That is not a cool job either! Take it easy and hydrate yourself so you don't get dehydrated and try and stay inside where it is cooler!

I may have overlooked one, but I don't remember it being under 100 degrees on any day for over a month.

A little over a month ago we were in Houston Texas for two weeks and one day i complained that the afternoon Temp go up to 106 degrees. One of the locals told me to come back in July and August when it really gets hot in Texas. I guess he knew what he was taking about.

We live in Colorado and once in a while we see almost 90 degrees for an hour or so in an afternoon, but not often and not every year. We see frost before sun up on our hay meadows in the summer more often than 90 degrees.

We just got back from Oregon Yesterday and in Rogue River, where we stayed three nights, it rained and was cool enough each morning to turn on the fireplace for a few minutes. I think the afternoons got up to the low 80's or upper 70's.

The snow banks at Crater Lake are still up to 12 to 15 feet along the road is some places.

Kind of made up for the price of Diesel, compared to temps back East. The lowest we paid in Oregon last week was $4.25/Gal.

60 degrees when I got up here in NW PA this morning. Had to get a jacket out but I am not complaning after the heat last couple days. It's been bad in VA where we live.
Bad storms came thru yesterday with wind and heavy rain, they need the rain here in PA. We are parked under trees so have shade all the time, have only used the AC a couple times in the last month and then only to cool it down at night then turned it off. We pay electric seperately with meter on plug so we are doing good. Could be real good if I would turn the electric water heater off!

Heat didn't stop me from selling 3 this week, although the heat inside the units was almost unbearable. Meet a lot of nice people, just like here on the MOC. Will be on the road again after my son leaves for A'stan Aug. 15. Just making a little travel cash. Maybe up to Great Smokies, cooler up there.

We visited the dealership where we bought our first Montana once and at that time they kept the air on inside several of the units they were showing. Not a bad idea either IMHO, keeps people in them longer and it lets them know exactly how well the A/C works.

WM says 105 on Sat. Wonder what the index will be? Can't wait to go to a cooler place. Our stick house A/C is running 24/7 to maintain 78. Only good part is when the elect. bill comes it will move DW closer to fulltiming.

60 wonderful degrees here in beautiful Sundance Wyoming. I tell you folks, it has to be a joy for the farmers and ranchers to work outside in the beauty of this country.
