We have stayed here a couple of times and liked it a lot.

Hey future wagon masters how are you doing? The Oasis is a nice park, it is close to the strip. Be prepared, it could be hot there in September.

Oasis is very nice, much like a resort, wide open, large lanes and sites. Circus Circus has a KOA right on their premises, but they have lots of rules because you get a sense its location attracts lots of rowdy people and they want to keep a handle on it. It's a bit more packed in that the Oasis RV Resort.

Besides those two, we are members of 1000Trails in that area and that was the worst of them all. The spaces are tight, but if you aren't 1000 Trails members then you don't have this one available too you (you won't regret it). When we go there, we stay away and visit the Vegas attractions and only return to sleep. We barely fit there, but I think there might be larger spaces but since we weren't there very much we don't know.

I guess the next one to try is Sam's Town, which is somewhat close to the 1000Trails. I would consider trying them since we dislike the 1000Trails RV Park even though it would be free for us. We try not to RV in Las Vegas during the summer months and early to mid September could be bad. The end of the month is a toss-up, but most times it's hot.

Let's us know how you do!

Spent 3 weeks in LV in May and stayed at Las Vegas Rv Resort. About 6 miles from the strip but Sams and several other casinos only a few blocks away. It was on Nellis Blvd. They have lowered thier prices and all sites are only 29.99 p/n.
Sams Town was an okay park looked at it, but here was no security. LV RV Resort had a 24 hour mannned security gate. Wal Mart was 3 blocks away, lots of food choices.Plan on it being warm. Teresa

The Oasis is noisy! If the aircraft from McCarron are taking off or landing to/from the south-west it's deafening and it goes on into the night and starts at the crack of dawn. The Oasis is also beside the freeway which can be noisy. We've also stayed at Sam's (the one beside the casino) and it's great. The Las Vegas RV Resort is O L D with small sites and needs a lot of attention. It does have a security gate but that's no big deal. Many, many permanent residents here and there's not a lot of "standards" maintained.
