Inverter

I used my inverter for the first time at Quartzite but the 1st night it wouldn't work and the next day I found a loose connection. After that it worked great for my CPAP, battery charging was along process but I will add a IQ4 smart charger plug-in to the converter so the batteries will charge better. This makes it easier for us with CPAP's to dry camp.

Way to go Hookman. That's great news for you since I recall your posts when trying to get this going.

I use the Battery Minder method for the best in battery charging because I did not know about the smart chargers for converters that I learned about through the MOC membership. While the Battery Minder works okay for me, it is a hassle because I must disconnect the batteries then find a way to plug in a Battery Minder.

The advantage of a Battery Minder is you can take it with you to the next rig since it will work for all rigs. There's good and bad for everything, but if you don't know all the options, then you can't make the best decision for yourself.

So for you Montana owners out there, join this forum so you can learn more about taking care of your Montanas. Do you think they heard me?

The information you provided helps me to gain more confidence about boondocking since you were able to use your inverter with the CPAP. Thanks for the post. There's nothing like knowing the flexibility of using our rigs.

Eastridges,
It is a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (cpap) breathing machine that reduces or eliminates sleep apnea.

So that's what it stands for. Been using it for 4 years and didn't have a clue.

Thank Ken.

When I was talking with the repair tech today about Inverters, he said he gets feedback about the CPAP and Humidifiers not working well, or at all, with Inverters that are not Pure sine wave.
Just a FYI.

It was recommended by a friend that is into solar and inverter power.
