Air Cond. problem
My son is visiting us in Michigan from Colorado. He and his family towed a Jayco Featherlite here and it is parked in front of our Mountaineer. The air conditioner is leaking codensation water into his trailer from the air conditioner unit. The air unit is a Coleman. Anyone have any advice as to where it could be comeing from? This is the first time that they have had to use the air conditioner as they camp in the Rockies and only have to use the furnace.

Terry, the condensation could be building up in the upper housing and that drain pan on the roof may be plugged. OZZ will probably be along with a whole lot of better idea's. Good Luck John
OK. BY THE WAY TERRY. Sure would be nice to see you and yours for the BRANSON GET TOGEATHER IN MAY 2008.... thing about it. John

Hmmm, If condensate then your saying its from outside condensor? It could be icing of the evaporator coil that is thawing internally? If the fan is not moving enough air then it will ice and some thawing happens causing you to find water puddling.
If Condensate its likey the seal around unit where it sits on roof...but symptom suggests it should leak when it rains too.
If Evaporator then pull the inside cover and check inside for icing....as well as determine if the fan speed is not running on high speed to over-come icing. Icing occurs when running compressor on high generating high cooling to coil but not having enough air flow to exchange warm air resulting in himidity freezing on coils. Hope this helps...and any errors will generate others to comment.

Can't improve on noneck's post, might add that the drain from the evaporator to the outside roof may have a little something in it stopping the water from running out of the unit. Is the trailer level?
