Slide Question

The plastic that is attached to the bottom of the bedroom slide has cracked and pieces have fallen off. Has anyone had to replace this? If so, what is the procedure. I would have thought they would glue that to the bottom. Mine was just kind of sitting there. I know it's used to slide across the plastic lip, so it's necessary. Also, is that readily available at a dealer? Thanks in advance. I know someone will have the answer. Second question - it looks like I have a small leak on the main drain line to the blade valve for dumping. Is there an exterior glue that I can put around that?

I guess this must be a new problem. Not one response. I will check with the local dealer next week. I'm not sure if the plastic should be glued to the plywood bottom or if this should "float".

I know what you're talking about ... it should be glued to the bottom of the slide ... mine is. A few have had it tear off in pieces and Keystone replaced it. I doubt if the dealer has it in stock, but they may suprise both of us. I'd just use JB Weld on the PVC ... it's John Wayne tough.

Ours was replaced at the service center this April as it was on our "problem list" The slide was dragging on one side causing a groove in the black stuff and apparently it was not properly glued or it was "cost effective" glue as it was starting to sag in places. They appear to have done a much better job at the service center as it looks top be firmly attached to the underslide.

Thanks for the replies. I plan on calling my dealer, but have been swamped at work. And now one of my guys in his 40's just had a stroke. So, it's going to be even more hectic. My sheet has broken into numerous pieces, so it will need to be replaced. Oh well. We have been pretty maintenance free other than the odd problem here and there.
