What Rally Would You Attend

I hope this is a good place to post this. Being new to this site and now a Montana owner I would like to attend a rally. Living in Missouri not sure which one to attend. I would prefer to go south or east if possible.
Can some of you help this newbie out with some advise on which would be a good start and how to sign up. Sounds like a good time with lots of good information to be found from a lot of vendors.
Thanks to all in advance. Joe&Buffy

If you are interested in information, vendors, and service, then the Goshen Rally is the place to be. That is the only MOC rally with those attributes since most of the vendors are located in the Goshen area. Most of the other rallys more social in nature (and that includes Goshen). You will meet great people, eat, campfire with folks, eat, tour the area, eat, share stories, eat, participate in show and tell events, eat, potluck (really another eat activity but worth mentioning), eat, make friends, eat, and have a terrific time.

Plan on going to Goshen but pick one or two other rallys (maybe somewhere you have never been) and attend them too. You will not regret it!!

We would like to have you join us at the Mid Atlantic. It will be in Sevierville, Tenn from July 30 -Aug 5. That's the Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge, Great Smokey Mountain Nat Park area.

The Goshen Fall National Rally is focused around Keystone and their support to the Montana. I feel it is more of a technocial rally but a MUST attend for first timers and then as desired after. I feel the regional rallies are much more social rallys where you have a better chance to meet members and learn from their experience.
So any rally you can make is better than none but try to do a regional and then the Fall Rally at Goshen.
Good luck and safe travels.

I want to thank all of you that have replied. We would surely like to attend all of them but that is not possible. Just a great group of folks and I am sure a joy to meet and spend time with.
In attending the Rally in Goshen where do you stay and do you need to sign up with someone and make reservations ahead of time.
We are also looking at the Rally in Sevierville and the Central Plains rally. About the same distance from where we live in southwest Missouri.
Thanks to all again.

Signup for the Fall Rally in Goshen will be announced on this forum latter in the year. It is held at the Elkhart Fairgrounds in Goshen and your registration also provides you a spot. The only trick to enjoying Goshen is that all utilities are at the rear of your rig so you need to bring enough sewer hose, and water hose, to reach back there. Joyce and i will be going to that rally and also to the Central States Rally. Hope you can join us.

At the top of this page you will find "all forums", click on it. Scroll down to "previous North American rallies", scroll farther to see "regional rallies".

There is no competition between rallys, one is not better than the other, they are all great events just for the mere fact that you get to meet other people that have some of the same interests as you, one being RVing in a Montana 5th wheel.

The Fall National Rally in Goshen, IN at the factory is the only one officially sanctioned by the MOC, has many activities to sign up for and also most of the RV supply vendors are located nearby and put on presentations. It is the most informative and beneficial rally in terms of learning more about your Montana and to date is the largest rally in terms of attendance by MOC members.

There used to be a Spring National Rally in the west sanctioned by the MOC but that has gone by the wayside.

The regional rallys are organized by people who just step up and decide to organize a rally. These are all different in nature, and depending upon the organizer these rallys can have a lot of organized activities or be more of a laid-back style and only have a few activities planned.

No matter which rallys your time schedule allows you to attend, you can't go wrong.

Welcome to the MOC Joe & Buffy! I love your question because it is the same one I had when I first started on the site, living in Montana we didn't know which 'region' we were in. However, we quickly found out with the help of many wonderful members that you choose any rally that suits your fancy and desired travel plans. So far the only one that has worked for us was the 'Q' (AKA Quartzsite Arizona) Rally in January 2013. I would love to attend the on is Goshen but we have an 8 year old that is usually in school by then.

The best part is that you will meet fantastic people at all of them and learn something new everytime! Enjoy!

The fall rally in Goshen is IMO a must at least once. We have been to 7 of them as we do not live far away and we are getting tired of them. IMO the regional rallies are the best rallies and we go to as many of them as we can.

Seems like the only thing "regional" about a rally is where it is held. Being full timers, our address is South Dakota. We were welcomed at a MOC luncheon in Florida this past winter where we received a heart felt invite to both the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast rallies. You would be welcome at any MOC rally regardless of where you live.
