Fishing rod storage

I just mounted 4 ea 2"X5' pieces of PVC pipe in the top of my basement storage to hold my fishing rods. It works great. Keeps them out of the way and undamaged. I saw this as a tip in Trailer Life.

Thanks Less I have mine under the bed and I'm always afraid of them getting bent or broken, did you use pipe clamps to secure them to the under floor.

I used U shaped clamps for the pipe and self tapping screws to attach to the aluminum floor joists. I got this idea from the May Trailer life magazine. It has pictures in 10-minute tech.

I use velcro strap screwed to the ceiling in the storage area. This works great too.

Thanks Les.
I was wondering how to keep my most valuable equipment safe, but no more.
Thanks for passing it on.

Great idea Les, and thanks. I'm in the process of learning to store all the goodies we need or like to have with us when we hit the road. We have only had our rig for a few months, and used it twice. So like I said, still learning and need all the good ideas I can gwt.

Like Judi, I used velcro but I suggest that you put a round washer between the velcro and the screw head...less chance of the velcro being becoming ripped
at the screw head because of the weight from the pole.
