TV antenna
After owning our 3255 for 2 years, we finally had need to use the TV antenna... Found that a spacer wasn't installed and we couldn't rotate it...also, discovered that the amplifier power supply was burned out (although, the green LED was lit and turned on and off)... replaced it $34 only to find that there was a short in the coax leading to the antenna. Did everything under the sun to find that short... thought I was going to have to replace the coax from the power supply to the antenna...not a trivial task...then I thought, perhaps two of the three cables coming into the power supply were crossed (although we had cable signals on both tv's)... Yessir, the antenna and bedroom coax cables were crossed (the tv in bedroom was seen as a short by my ohm meter). Changed the wires and all is working. The crossing of wires and the power supply terminating into my tv must have caused the burn out.
This has been the only major issue with my Montana in 2 years of ownership... I suspect that the antenna installation person must have had a real "party" weekend and he or she did the installation on my trailer that Monday following the weekend :-) Next time I order a Montana I will request that it be built during the middle of the week :-)
BTW... We are back in Lakewood (Myrtle Beach) after five days in Ft Clinch (near Jacksonville fla.)... fish were biting :-)
We bought the spacer and amplifer at Dick Gore's RV World in Jacksonville. They had a very nice, well stocked, store and the sales person was very helpful.
