Decals - She's looking good again
Finished my decal replacement. Here it is last summer, 2014. Doesn't look bad in pic. But if you look very close, or zoom in, the MONTANA is peeling all around. And some of the mountain edges are peeling off. Was looking much worse this year as mountains were probably 20% gone.
Nearly naked. I had already replaced the MONTANA before I thought to take a pic.
And complete. Looking good and no place to go.

Really nice job. Hope I never have to do it, but the likelihood of that is a safe bet with the punishment the front gets from sun and travel. John

Where did you get the graphics? I thought Burlington had quit selling them.

I was fortunate enough to get them free from Keystone August last year while they were still providing them. Just now got around to putting them on.

It looks good, Bill. I got no love at all from Keystone when I called almost a year ago about replacing ours. Call your dealer, is what they said. The dealer says they're out of print since my (2010) camper is so old. Huh? Anyway, still looking at alternatives. Our decals look similar to yours condition-wise, before you replaced them. Good job.

Big job and now looks so good! Glad to see Keystone stepped up to the plate for you but it's too bad they haven't done the same for everyone?

curious i see you have a bike rack mounted on the front of your camper. was there any issue mounting it there and does it hurt the integrity of the tow system ? was hoping to mount a flag pole assembly there with a Wilson Phone booster system but was worried
about drilling or welding in that assembly. sorry to get off topic. closer pictures would be appreciated.

Dennis - I did not do any drilling or welding on the pin box. I made a simple frame that bolts directly on using the pin box bolts. So it is effectively bolted to the trailer frame, not the pin box.

You make another one of those frames for the bike rack and I would be interested in buying it from you!
I have been trying to find a way to use our bike rack since they no longer put a receiver hitch on the rear of the Montana's.
By the way, your new decals look great! Good Job!!

Scott - I am very much an amateur welder. I can stick two pieces of metal together, but not always pretty. Although I feel the frame is more than strong enough to hold anything I will ever put on it, I would not feel comfortable making one for someone else for fear a weld might fail. Even though there is a continuous weld bead on the underside of all joints.
However if you would like I will PM a link to pictures and a description of the process I followed. If you have a welding friend or metal shop nearby they could probably make one for you at a reasonable price. In my case I already had some angle iron laying around and the 2" receiver cost $20 at a Harbor Freight.

Thanks Bill, I will take you up on your offer for the pictures and descriptions. Measurements would be great also. If you could E-mail them that would be great!
The only welding I am good at is soldering or using Super Glue and I'm sure neither would work!!
