Can you add dual pane windows?

I found a 2008 Montana in the floor plan that I want, with the artic insulation package. Only problem is that it has single pane windows. I will be full timing, & I absolutely want dual panes. Is it possible to add dual panes? If it can be done, have any of you had this done? Any problems that might be caused by adding dual panes?

If you have the cash you can do just about anything.

It would be an expensive proposition. You would either have to get complete windows from Kinro and totally remove the outer frames of your old windows from the trailer and re-set the new ones. The openings of the two different types are completely different, the single pane have louver style opening panels and the dual pane has sliders. Or you would have to get someone to custom make dual pane glass inserts and somehow install them in the existing window frames, if it is even possible to do. Either way, I think you are looking at a very spendy project. Have not ever heard of anyone doing this at all.

Try calling the Keystone Service Center in Indiana and see if they would consider doing the job or not, and get a quote from them if they said yes. At least you might get a ballpark figure to see if it is worth it to you.

Or you could just order a new 5er from the factory and get the rig exactly how you want it, that's what I did.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I thought that this might be an expensive and technically difficult project. But if I can get a low enough price for the rig, perhaps worth it. I think I will call & see if this is even possible to do & what the cost might be.
My other big concern is about having the windows replaced, then finding out in my first big rainstorm that they all leak! Yikes! I definitely have to consider everything before moving forward.

Another alternative might be to see if you could order it with no windows and add them yourself. The problem you may run into is the depth of the walls - they aren't very thick - and you may have trouble finding windows the correct thickness.
