Tire stems

I found this tire stem article over on the Diesel Place Forum.
Very interesting and Informative.

There have been discussions on the site about valve stem problems. I had two bad valve stems. Checking air before every trip is important and how I found both of my bad stems. I carry 80lbs but in checking one was at 45 lbs and would not hold anymore air pressure. Replaced the stem. Sometime latter same thing on another wheel so I replaced all stems including the spare. Have not had a problem since. I seem to remember we saw where there was a recall on stems by Montana.

Well, I guess my question would be; Has anyone measured, or knows, the diameter and thickness of the stem holes on the Montana? I think that would be good information to know when having a tire repaired or replaced.
