Cracked Rims
BIG SAFETY CONCERN!
In June we blew a tire in Northern VA. Since the sidwall blew, we attempted to determine what caused it. Nothing could be found. However examination showed that several of the welds on the rim had cracked. I thought it was from hitting the pavement.
This week, as we arrived in a Pigeon Forge campground, one tire was very low. I took the wheel off and took it to be repaired. Guess what? The tire wasn't leaking, the rim was, right under one of the welds.
I talked to Keystone and they were aware of the problem and agreed to send me three replacement rims, since I had already purchased two.
I don't know how you would check this but it sure seems like a safety concern, to me.
Our trailer is a 2002, 3295RK.
I don't have the new rims yet but won't travel anymore until I have them.
