Finding spare parts

I put an 18" LED strip under the rig to illuminate the steps at night. The little red one that Keystone installed was poor light at best.
While doing so I let the wires slip back through the 1 1/4" hole they made for a couple 14g wires.
Well, I dropped the belly cover material to retrieve the wires and while rooting around under there found a loose never installed 5 foot cross member floating around on top of the holding tank. It is the same one that holds the tank up. Abram must've had an extra one in his hand and laid it up there and forgot it. I suppose it wasn't hurting anything rolling around up there but WTH??
I need to stop looking at the way these things are built, or I won't be able to own it for long.

Mark

That's optional for those of us who want to brace the tanks better Lot of manufacturers wouldn't do that for you.

I found some strange things in mine, but not tank supports...but mostly I found lots of sawdust, bits of wire, and that sort of thing. John

We had those supports placed under our holding tanks as they were replaced after failing as well as flexible pipe at the inputs. They seem to be working. My latest black tank failure was caused by me overfilling the tank. The support was good ,the flex pipe was good but the glued on top of the tank right at the input filler separated due to the weight of the water. We had a 1986 Fleetwood TT and we overfilled the tank while flushing it but had a overflow pipe that went to the roof and water poured out of it and down the side of the camper. The Montana tank has nowhere to vent except the John and that ball and seal in the john are stronger than you think.

Hi

We had several problems with ours with first time we used it. When the dealer removed the basement wall to see about the water leaks the vent piper for the black tank was properly cut to fit but hand never been installed it was stacked behind the wall. The roof vent was installed and the tank prepared for the installation but the pipe was not installed.

That was the beginning of my nightmare.
