Don't hate our 2015 anymore!

After six months of misery with our 2015, where the Microwave, refrigerator, flush valves, toilet, chairs, were all replaced, along with a myriad of other problems, pulled it out of the dealers late April with all fixes done. Sitting here in Florida, and for six months, our 2015 has been trouble free, nothing has broken, everything has worked properly. Did replace all four cable flush valves with threaded rod configurations, but not because they failed.

True or not true, I don't know, but one of our neighbors in the park was the General Manager of Bales RV dealership down here for ten years, and he told me, pretty much an industry standard, that when a dealership takes delivery of a rig, they get $750 from the manufacturer for PDI and any repairs required. If they do nothing, they keep the $750, and then when the owner discovers issues, it is handled under warranty, so the dealer gets to double dip. Maybe someone on the forum knows for sure if that is actually the case.

Well, I hope that the trouble free period goes for a few years for you. Have no idea on dealings between dealers and manufacturers, but sounds creditable john

How did they convert to threaded rods? Did they relocate the handles out of the convenience center?

I posted a thread previously explaing how how I removed the cable assemblies and rerouted the plumbing, installing threaded rod valve flush valves at new locations. No longer in the convenience center. Used rubber plugs from lowes to fill the holes left in the center. Easy project, does take a few hours on your back under the rig.

Sounds familiar. This is the first Florida trip we have made since 2013 and not had a Failure of some kind. We have broken our record for a holding tank not failing while sitting on our winter lot. We last had the Montana is the dealer for repairs May of this year and thus far have not had a failure which is another record. Who knows maybe everything that was defective has been repaired or replaced.

That's great news, but, since you've replace half the RV, it should work properly.

Here is hoping now the glitches are out and you can sit back and enjoy some of the trouble free rv lifestyle.

Mike, if that is true, and it probably is, then Keystone and all the others need to change the $750 fee! If I am a large RV dealer, especially in the recent lean sales years, I would be tempted to take delivery of 100 new units and not touch them and pocket the $75,000.
